Thank you so much for arranging a very special trip to the Islamic Republic of Iran. We arrived in Tehran on September 20th full of hope and expectations, all of which were greatly exceeded. The beautiful mosques, the gardens, the tea houses, but above all the friendliness and courtesy we received from the people of Iran will stay with us forever. Fatemeh, our Tehran guide, met us at the airport with a smile, took care of hotel check-in, and, with pride and enthusiasm, showed us around the museums and the city sights.
Mr. S......., with equal professionalism, introduced us to the beautiful city of Isfahan. The Ali Quapu hotel met the same high standard as our hotel in Tehran, both of which were centrally located for walking to the bazaars and many places of interest. The Palace, the blue and yellow tiled mosques, the tea houses under the river bridges, and the exotic eastern Bazaar made Isfahan our favorite city.
Shiraz was our gateway to Persepolis, and our introduction to Iran's early history and culture. This, we believe, is a "must see" for anyone visiting the Islamic Republic of Iran, as it is truly spectacular.
Our fifteen days in Iran, constituted one of our best and most interesting vacations, and we would highly recommend this trip to anyone.

Thank you so very much for arranging my adventure of a lifetime! It was a wonderful cultural experience, which afforded me the opportunity to see first-hand the beauty and warmth of Iran. I have traveled throughout the Near East, but have never been as sincerely welcomed and courteously cared for.
The ancient history or Iran? Persia, alone, is worth the trip. Persepolis and Pasargade, along with Kermanshah, are testaments to a rich and varied past. The Islamic architecture is some of the most magnificent works of art I have ever seen and the natural beauty is awesome. Thanks to the Persians, we have the rose!
Safety was never a concern and the cities of Tehran, Mashhad, Shiraz, etc., are well kept, well lit, clean and hospitable. Isfahan really is "half-the-world".
I thank you, again, and look forward to a return trip, with my husband, in the near future..

I spent 17 days in Iran with Cyrus Tours, and found the trip among the most interesting I've experienced. This includes Cuba and North Korea. The scenery is magnificent, the spring weather delightful, the antiquity amazing (some predates Greece) and the people simply marvelous. They are extremely hospitable and terribly curious about Americans (I saw nine). The Europeans and Asians are flocking to Iran. At no time was I apprehensive or uncomfortable.
Most of this was because Cyrus Beheshti has more connections in Iran than any other tour operator in America. Originally in travel business in Iran, he still handles more Iranian travel than anyone stateside. His 40+ years in business and his office in Washington D.C. give him a rare perspective.

Had a nice 10 days in Iran. The schedule was just about right; we used one of the Shiraz days to go to Bishapour, which gave us more exposure to countryside. In hindsight, may be I'd go on land from Pasargad via Yazd to Isfahan, but it was fine as is.
The historical sites were outstanding, as expected. I was glad that I Got a few occasions to talk to people, including visits to a university, a business promoting Persian language software company, some bookstores and some religious minorities. Not a lot, but more than I had anticipated in a tight schedule. Did get to the mountains above Tehran, and -big surprise- right to Khomeini's home.
We got a bunch of nice restaurants for fesenjan, fadooli (at least the Shiraz version) and ash-e-reshteh (though only once, in the Caravansarai Hotel garden in Isfahan). Standard kebabs fine. I did get tired of barley soup on every menu.
A particular commendation to Reza......., our guide, who was both knowledgeable about the archeological details but, very important, on the linguistic issues which were important to me. Friendly, young, gregarious, still eager to learn, and still excited about going to places he'd been to a hundred times before. He was a good choice.
Now if they would all just learn how to drive.....
